# Canada's Dominion Dynamics targets 2027 to start building Ukrainian TENCORE ground robots

TENCORE would lead the initial TerMIT technology transfer to the 2025-founded Ottawa autonomy startup. The companies are still working toward definitive agreements and named no order, volume or funding source.

Ottawa-based Dominion Dynamics signed a memorandum of understanding with Ukrainian ground-robot maker TENCORE on Tuesday, Oct. 13, to manufacture TENCORE's TerMIT uncrewed ground vehicle (UGV) in Canada.[1] Their announcement bills the Canadian-built vehicles as "for Ukraine," with Dominion's AuraNet autonomy stack serving as the onboard intelligence layer.[1] A TENCORE team will lead the initial technology transfer and train technicians in Canada, with initial production targeted for 2027.[1] The companies say TENCORE has delivered more than 5,000 UGVs to Ukrainian military units since 2024.[1] TENCORE's technical specifications for the TerMIT 2.0 list an electric powertrain and a payload capacity of 398 kilograms (±10 kg) without armor, or 327 kilograms (±10 kg) with armor.[3]

For Dominion, TerMIT would add a ground vehicle to a business it describes as autonomy, sensing and command and control systems.[1] In June it said its C$139 million (US$100 million) Series A would accelerate AuraNet and Scout, an autonomous collaborative platform meant to extend the reach of crewed fighter planes.[2] The same month, it moved into a 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Kanata, Ontario, though the announcement says only that TerMIT would be built in "Canadian facilities."[1][2]

The companies tie the memorandum to a September defense cooperation declaration by Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Under it, they say, both countries committed to manufacturing thousands of drones and uncrewed systems over the next two years, with one-third earmarked for Ukraine's defense.[1] Dominion also aims to develop an Arctic-hardened TerMIT for Canadian operations and for export to NATO allies.[1]

## Why it matters

Definitive agreements are the next documents that could show where TerMIT gets built, in what numbers and with whose money.[1] An order from Ukraine or Canada for Canadian-built vehicles would put a buyer behind the 2027 production target.[1]

*Correction, November 4, 2026:* An earlier version of this brief said TENCORE markets the TerMIT 2.0 as all-electric with a payload of up to 400 kilograms. TENCORE's specifications for the TerMIT 2.0 list an electric powertrain and a payload capacity of 398 kilograms (±10 kg) without armor, or 327 kilograms (±10 kg) with armor.
