The Air Force's Kessel Run office posted a request for information on Oct. 28, 2026, for a Common Air Defense Picture at Air Operations Centers.[1][2] The market research seeks existing and emerging software-enabled capabilities for air and missile defense.[1]

The Air Force is seeking information on commercial capabilities that could improve access to authorized information and reduce manual reconciliation and reporting burdens.[1] The scope includes planning, situational awareness, reporting, readiness analysis, sustainment analysis and decision support.[1]

Personnel currently consolidate information from multiple systems, data sources and manual processes.[1] The notice says that fragmentation can increase manual workload, delay access to relevant information and complicate collaborative planning and decision support.[1]

The response deadline is Nov. 13, 2026.[1] Submissions are due by 3 p.m. Eastern.[1]

## Why it matters

The desired capability should support users across multiple echelons of command and control while preserving government decision authority and existing authoritative command-and-control functions.[1] This is market research; the notice states no funding amount, contract vehicle or award.[1]
