Appian announced Oct. 29 that the Army had fielded the initial release of the Total Army Combat and Training Munitions Information System (TACTMIS).[1] The work was executed through the Army Enterprise Agreement, and Appian says the team delivered the initial release in 110 days from contract award.[1]

Appian says TACTMIS replaced disconnected emails, spreadsheets and fragmented legacy workflows with a cloud-based enterprise platform.[1] The system serves as the Army’s authoritative source for managing munitions requirements, authorizations, forecasting and expenditure reporting.[1]

The company describes TACTMIS as serving more than 10,000 global users and supporting Army-wide readiness reporting, planning, programming, budgeting and execution processes.[1] TACTMIS is built on Appian Defense Cloud with an Impact Level 5 designation.[1]

## Why it matters

Appian says the system increases visibility of munitions demand and usage across the Active Army, Army National Guard, Army Reserve and joint partners.[1] Appian says planned future enhancements include a classified capability increment designed to support near-real-time combat munitions requirements and expenditure reporting.[1]
