CHAOS 1, Inc. has received a contract valued at more than $6.9 million for Vanquish Prime radar systems for U.S. Central Command's (CENTCOM) area of responsibility.[1] The radars are intended to strengthen counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) protection for U.S. forces and critical assets.[1]

The Department of War's Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) awarded the contract.[1] The task force describes the radars as one layer in a coordinated defense alongside other C-UAS technologies.[1]

CHAOS 1 will deliver the systems to designated locations within the CENTCOM area, with training and technology to support their integration and operational use.[1] The announcement does not specify how many radars the contract covers or a delivery schedule.[1]

## Why it matters

The task force says the radar systems will provide long-range detection and tracking capabilities to improve situational awareness and help U.S. forces respond more effectively to aerial threats.[1]
